"Honestly the food here is really good. The Balti lamb is delicious and the naan. You might need to wait if it’s a bit busy, but the service is really kind. Perhaps they had a couple of off-days, but all in all, this is a great place to get Indian food. The combo deal is great value."

"The Crown Indian restaurant has quick and friendly staff who make helpful suggestions about flavours, dishes and spice levels. Onion Bhaji reminded me of the flaked bhaji’s we enjoyed in Singapore. The chicken Chettinad was delicious and the garlic cheese naan was crispy with a slightly chard edge which I love. the Dal makhani was stuffed with lentils and was rich and flavour some. Definitely return and explore the rest of the menu when we are back in island Bay. It was surprisingly good value for a meal of that quality, and yes it’s BYO. The ingredients are fresh."

"Totally rate this Indian restaurant. Seriously good food. We tried something different for starters last night the aloo tikka chat -delicious. More than enough for two of us. The biryani was excellent as well. And we could byo wine. So lucky to have this as our local"

"Absolutely delicious, reasomably priced, loved it! We're gluten and dairy free and the staff were very helpful explaining what we could eat. Seriously good food, will definitely be back. Got takeaway so can't rate the atmosphere."

"The only second time having Prawn Madras and this was by far the best. The waitress was fantastic explaining the different levels of heat… Going so far as to even say Kiwi hot AND Indian hot. We ordered perfectly. Definitely a 10 out of 10 for us, the goat curry was outstanding. Highly recommend and definitely going back"
